Blendtec Designer Series Blender
Blendtec Designer Series Blender Review Fashionably Powerful Machine
I was already a huge fan of the Blendtec Total Blender Classic. It is arguably one of the best (if not the best) blending machine on the market today. The new Blendtec Designer Series is practically the same thing repackaged with a new look and feel, and a few cool updates for the fashion savvy among us.
The housing of the Designer series has been reenvisioned to have all the controls at the top of the base with a glossy black, touch interface and a capacitive touch slider. The controls area is illuminated as well which is a nice touch if you plan on doing blending in the early morning when the sun isn’t quite up yet.
There are four preprogrammed blending cycles, and the blender will automatically increase speed or slow down when it detects that it’s needed. Air flows throughout the base freely to keep things cool, and there is an automatic sensor to shut things down from overuse.
Blendtec machines are powerful and the Blendtec Designer Series comes with a 3 horsepower motor. While, you can put ingredients in the canister, pop the lid on, and let it do its thing, I do not recommend leaving it unattended.
The motor is attached directly to the cold forged steel blades via the motor shaft to provide the most blending power utilization. Unlike other smoothie makers that have sharp blades that simply cut the food up again and again, the Blendtec Designer series uses sheer force to pulverize the material with blunt edged blades.
Why Should I Buy The Blendtec Designer Series Blender?
The Blendtec Designer Series takes what was already working in the Blendtec Total Blender Classic and “cleans things up a bit” for a fresher, cleaner design. If you always wanted a Blendtec blender but the design was a little too commercial for your taste, Blendtec has now got you covered. This blender will fit nicely in any updated, fashionable kitchen. We highly recommend you give this monster of a smoothie maker a try.
